The best way to avoid trouble with any business transaction is to be a knowledgeable consumer. But how do even the most savvy of us avoid scams, fraud & stolen identity? And what do you do if you expect bad business? Christy Stickland, Director of Accreditation for the Better Business Bureau has answers.
The speaker: Christy Strickland serves as the Director of Accreditation for Better Business Bureau Mississippi since 2011. Better Business Bureau is a leading non-profit champion for building trust in the business community.
Christy is originally from New Orleans. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business/Personnel Management, now known as Human Resources in 1990 from The University of Southern Mississippi. She has lived in Mississippi on and off since 1990.
Christy is a member of Professional Women Association (PWA), Board member of Jackson Metro Alumnae Club for her sorority, member of the Central MS Alumnae Chapter for USM, and Ambassador for Rankin County Chamber of Commerce.
She currently resides in Brandon with her husband Paul and 3 children.
