About the Mississippi Chapter |
Established in 1977 in Jackson, the Mississippi Chapter of ATD is a regional, non-profit association of workplace performance professionals, providing our members with a forum for the exchange of professional development opportunities and resources as they strive to improve workplace learning and performance.
The Chapter's first Geographical Interest Group (GIG) was formed on the Mississippi Gulf Coast ..... In 2009 the second GIG formed in Hattiesburg.
The Chapter was awarded ATD Chapter of the Month in July 2011, a recognition directly tied to the work of our Hattiesburg GIG in hosting bimonthly virtual meetings.
Our members are involved in workplace learning in non-profit companies, healthcare, insurance, transportation, technology, state and local government and retail, while others head their own consulting firms and still others are involved in higher education.
